You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or are used fraudulently (including using disposable email addresses or multiple accounts to abuse free credits or promotions).

3. Uploaded Content

The Service lets you upload course material and other study content ("Your Content") so that it can be processed by an AI model to generate flashcards, study plans, quizzes, and related study materials. You retain ownership of Your Content. By uploading it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit Your Content (including to our AI and infrastructure providers) solely to operate and provide the Service to you.

You represent that you own Your Content or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload it, and that Your Content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, and does not violate any law. You are solely responsible for Your Content. We do not pre-screen uploaded content and reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove any content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

Copyright complaints: if you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at [CONTACT_EMAIL] with a description of the work, the material you believe is infringing, and your contact information, and we will investigate and respond, including removal where appropriate.

4. AI-Generated Output

Flashcards, quizzes, study plans, practice-chat responses, and other output generated by the Service ("Output") are produced by an AI model based on Your Content and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Output is provided for study and educational assistance only and is not a substitute for your course materials, instructor guidance, or independent verification. You are responsible for reviewing Output for accuracy before relying on it, including for graded work or exams.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any academic integrity policy of your institution beyond permitted study aids;
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or contains malware;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts or data, or our infrastructure;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service (including automated scraping, bulk account creation, or bypassing rate limits and credit systems);
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product; or
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent our bot-detection, authentication, or credit/payment systems.

6. Credits and Payments

Certain features consume prepaid credits, which can be purchased through our payment processor (Stripe) as described on our pricing page. Credits are consumed when you generate study materials and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase. If a generation attempt fails due to a system error on our end, the credit for that attempt is automatically refunded to your balance. All payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, software, and underlying technology, is owned by Ali al-Talqani and protected by intellectual property laws. "Vocalize.ai" and our logo are trademarks of Ali al-Talqani. Except for the limited right to use the Service as permitted by these Terms, no rights are granted to you in our intellectual property.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all Output are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated Output will be accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ali al-Talqani will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or academic outcomes, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50 if you have not made any payment.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law
